Found old broken tiles and glass buried in the earth.

Used with red, oranges and pinks.

It’s like a tree of life.

So much beauty in the sun.

Strange compositions.

Sunbathing opportunities.

I showed my brother my blog after making this, (but before posting this), and he said “oh, you should go and see the line the crab apples have fallen in, they follow the branch exactly”. Tee hee.
I wish crab apples were as tasty as they look.

They look almost too good to eat. But not quite.

It does it all by itself.

I took a picture at every stage of making this. My feelings about it changed from pleasure to displeasure, to pleasure again.
1. Sawdust

2. Organise

3. Crab Apples

4. Geranium petals and jasmine flowers

5. Twigs and grass

6. Destroy!

7. Wipe clean

I don’t think there was a point where it was ‘finished’. It’s just a process.

Wonderful day in Kew. So much there.
I loved the senses garden, and I stopped there for a while…

I love alpine flowers. Inside the alpine greenhouse was one of the most incredible flowers, a pixelated crocus:

A bee posed for me:

I can’t wait to go back!

We had a lot of tomatoes, an unopened shop packet, and then a delivery from a wonderful gardener; tomatoes of all shapes and sizes. So we decided to make tomato soup. First time I’ve ever made it. I poured boiling water over about 15 large tomatoes, then peeled the skin off. It was a wonderful sense experience, I recommend it just for the feeling in your fingers.
As I had enjoyed the skins so much…

I didn’t plan the size of the heart, but the skins fit perfectly.

As I was laying these down, a man asked me if I was going to eat them afterwards. He thought they were pringles.

I didn’t go to the carnival with my dragon, but I did make something that reminded me of carnival in some inexplicable way.

Here are some details:

It was windy, so I couldn’t get the petals to lie in an orderly fashion. Which is wholly appropriate.

That’s a pea in the bottom right corner.
This was just fun to make, to appreciate bright flowers, and feel good.
