Ah the spring!  It’s so wonderful to have more warm pink snow to play with this year.  I watched this shrub dropping it’s first clean pink petals onto the back alley on the way into town.  Several days later and those petals had already gone brown, but the pink ones keep coming.petal1

I decided to leave something for people to see as they walked along.  My first instinct is always to do a heart, but I tried to do something else this time…

A sneak peek!

red button necklace sneak peek

I’ve been making some jewellery after being given some new vintage buttons.  This is the first one.  Will be finished soon.  I’m dreaming in buttons at the moment.  I have to stop myself from spending hours arranging and rearranging buttons into different piles.  It’s the best part!

Clearing out everything, finding things I’d forgotten about, beads

It’s so pretty broken, I might not mend it.  The feeling of beads falling off string is like the feeling of losing control.

Birthday ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 12th, 2010 Comments 0

I had a birthday recently and some lovely things happened in the world of nature to make me smile…

First I woke up, looked out of the window and watched this seagull standing motionless on the smoking chimney stack.  Funny.Birthday seagull

Later on I had a delivery of one Birthday Rainbow,

with accompanied ridiculousness attached:

birthday silliness

(just imagine it was coming out of my mouth and you’ll get the picture),

then the starlings did some magic, which completely distracted me from my dinner – photos taken through restaurant window,

Then after going to the circus (ish), I saw a beautiful pale ring around the moon.  No photos – too dark, you’ll just have to imagine the feeling of wonderment I had throughout the day.  (also nice; presents, friendly messages, and threats to throw me into the sea at 6am not undertaken (the sentiment was greatly appreciated)).

Where Am I?
